Legal Issues Related to Employment Discrimination and SBA Resources

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will provide an overview of small business resources, while SCORE will discuss how to recognize various types of discrimination claims and will identify steps they can take to reduce the risk of liability.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

SBA’s Sacramento District Office economic development team will deliver the presentation. Created in 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is the only cabinet-level federal agency fully dedicated to small businesses and provides counseling, capital, and contracting expertise as the nation’s only go-to resource and voice for small businesses. 

Jackie McClain is Co-Chair of Capital Corridor SCORE and as well as a small business mentor with SCORE. She has over 30 years of business administrative experience, including experience in all aspects of Human Resources, as well as government regulations, contracting, legal issues, non profit and more. She currently stewards the chapter, presents workshops and mentors business-owners on a variety of topics. She holds a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law.
